Liv Kristine is a Norwegian vocalist and composer active since 1997, recognized for her contributions to metal music across multiple subgenres. She initially gained prominence as the voice of Theatre of Tragedy, a gothic metal ensemble, before joining symphonic metal group Leaves' Eyes as lead vocalist. Her career has been marked by extensive collaboration with Alexander Krull, frontman of German band Atrocity. Kristine also performs with Midnattsol, a project featuring her sister Carmen Elise Espenæs. Beyond her band work, she has developed a solo discography spanning symphonic metal, gothic rock, and pop rock styles, establishing herself as a versatile figure in contemporary metal music.
