Lissette Melendez is an American freestyle, Latin pop, and dance-pop singer born in Puerto Rico. She rose to prominence in the early 1990s with her breakthrough single "Together Forever," which achieved significant chart success by reaching number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track's commercial momentum carried into her follow-up release "A Day In My Life," which also charted respectably at number 49. Melendez's work exemplifies the freestyle and Latin pop fusion that characterized much of the dance-pop landscape during that era.
