Lightnin’ Slim
Lightnin' Slim was an American blues musician born in 1913 who became a prominent figure in Louisiana swamp blues. Active throughout much of the twentieth century until his death in 1974, he contributed significantly to the development of regional blues styles rooted in the Louisiana sound. His work exemplified the swamp blues tradition, a subgenre characterized by its raw, atmospheric approach to blues expression. Lightnin' Slim remained an influential presence in American blues music during his extended career.
