Lake of Tears is a Swedish heavy metal band that emerged in the mid-1990s, specializing in gothic and doom metal with progressive and psychedelic influences. The group disbanded in 2000 due to internal creative disagreements but reformed in 2003, subsequently releasing the well-received album Black Brick Road. Over their career, they have produced numerous studio recordings, including Illwill in 2011 and their most recent work, Ominous, released in 2021. The band has also documented their live performances, releasing their first live album in 2014.
