The King’s Singers

The King's Singers are a British a cappella vocal ensemble established in 1968 by six choral scholars from King's College in Cambridge. The group takes its name from their founding institution. Initially gaining prominence throughout the 1970s and early 1980s in the United Kingdom, they subsequently expanded their reach to American audiences through multiple appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In 1987, they performed as featured guests on the Emmy Award-winning ABC television special Julie Andrews: The Sound of Christmas, further cementing their international profile. Their career has been defined by their distinctive a cappella vocal arrangements and consistent performances across both British and American markets.
