Kim Gun-mo is a South Korean singer-songwriter born on January 13, 1968, who emerged as one of the nation's most prominent musical figures during the 1990s. Debuting in 1992, he quickly achieved commercial and critical success, releasing 13 studio albums throughout his career. His 1995 album Wrongful Meeting became a landmark release, holding the Guinness World Record for best-selling album in South Korean history. Kim's accolades include three consecutive Album of the Year awards at the Golden Disc Awards from 1994 to 1996. In recognition of his significant impact on Korean popular culture, he received a presidential commendation from the South Korean government in 2011.
