Kid Creole and the Coconuts

Kid Creole and the Coconuts is an American musical group founded in 1980 by August Darnell, along with Andy Hernandez and Adriana Kaegi. The ensemble blends disco with Latin American and Caribbean influences, drawing conceptual inspiration from the big band tradition. The Coconuts, a trio of female backing vocalists and dancers, were established and originally choreographed by Kaegi.
