The Kentucky Headhunters

The Kentucky Headhunters are an American country rock and Southern rock ensemble originating from Edmonton, Kentucky. The group evolved from Itchy Brother, a band formed in 1968 by Greg Martin and brothers Richard and Fred Young, initially featuring Anthony Kenney on bass and vocals. Itchy Brother remained active until 1982, though Martin's tenure was interrupted between 1973 and 1976. In 1986, Martin reunited with the Young brothers under the new name Kentucky Headhunters, expanding the lineup to include brothers Ricky Lee and Doug Phelps, establishing the classic configuration that continues to perform today.
