Jr. Walker and the All Stars were an American funk and soul ensemble active from 1958 to 1979. Led by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Autry DeWalt Mixon Jr., professionally known as Junior Walker, the group became prominent recording artists for Motown Records throughout the 1960s. Walker's energetic performances and instrumental versatility defined the band's sound, blending soul, funk, and rhythm and blues. Beyond his work with the All Stars, Walker later transitioned to session and touring work, performing as a saxophonist with the rock band Foreigner during the 1980s, demonstrating his adaptability across musical genres.
