The Joe Perry Project
The Joe Perry Project is an American hard rock and blues rock band founded by Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry in 1979, coinciding with his initial split from Aerosmith. Signed to Columbia Records, the group released their debut album Let the Music Do the Talking and performed primarily in smaller venues around Boston. Following multiple lineup shifts and two subsequent albums that achieved limited commercial success, the band disbanded in 1984 when Perry and guitarist Brad Whitford rejoined Aerosmith. Perry has revived the Joe Perry Project periodically as a side venture during breaks from his primary band.
