The Jealous Sound

The Jealous Sound is an American indie rock band from Los Angeles that formed in 2000. The group gained recognition for blending indie rock and emo sensibilities in their musical output. The lineup has evolved over the band's tenure, with guitarist Michael Richardson joining in 2012 to replace original member Pedro Benito, who transitioned to film and television scoring. As of 2012, the band comprised vocalist and guitarist Blair Shehan, Richardson, bassist Jeremy Tappero, and drummer Bob Penn. The Jealous Sound released their second full-length album, A Gentle Reminder, in early 2012 and maintained a recording contract with Rise Records through at least 2016.
