Jars of Clay

Jars of Clay is a Christian alternative rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 1993. The group originated when its members—vocalist Dan Haseltine, keyboardist Charlie Lowell, lead guitarist Stephen Mason, and rhythm guitarist Matthew Odmark—met while attending Greenville College in Illinois. Their music combines elements of alternative rock, folk, acoustic arrangements, and R&B influences within a contemporary Christian framework. Though the band maintains a core lineup of four members, they work with additional musicians for live performances, including Jeremy Lutito and Gabe Ruschival on rhythm section duties during tours.
