The Jarmels

The Jarmels were an American vocal group that emerged from Richmond, Virginia in 1959, working within the doo wop and rhythm and blues genres. The ensemble achieved their most significant commercial success with a single released in 1961 titled "A Little Bit of Soap," which became their signature recording and primary claim to recognition in popular music history. While their recording career was relatively brief, the group remains a notable fixture in the doo wop landscape of the early 1960s.
