James & Bobby Purify
James & Bobby Purify were an American R&B duo known for their chart-successful recordings in the 1960s. Their debut hit, "I'm Your Puppet" (1966), climbed to number six on the US Billboard Hot 100 and reached number twelve on the UK Singles Chart in a later re-recorded version. The following year, they achieved further success with "Let Love Come Between Us," which peaked at number 23 on the US charts. The group underwent a personnel change in the 1970s when the original Bobby Purify was replaced by another performer of the same name.
