The Innocence Mission is an American indie folk and alternative rock band originating from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, formed in 1986. Led by primary songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Karen Peris alongside her husband Don Peris and Mike Bitts, the group has developed a distinctive sound drawing from folk and dream pop traditions.
