Ill Niño is an American nu metal band formed in Union City, New Jersey, in 1998. The group emerged from a Latin American musical background and became known for their blend of heavy rock and metalcore elements. Drummer Dave Chavarri founded the band and remains its sole original member throughout its evolving lineup. Over their career, Ill Niño has released seven studio albums alongside two EPs and a compilation, achieving worldwide album sales exceeding 1.3 million copies. The band's fusion of nu metal with their cultural influences distinguished them within the heavy music landscape.
