Houshin Engi is a Japanese manga series created by Ryu Fujisaki that draws inspiration from the classical Chinese novel Investiture of the Gods. Serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1996 to 2000, the work spans 23 volumes and centers on Chinese mythology and history, particularly focusing on the final members of the Yin dynasty and schemes to bring about their downfall. The series was made available to North American audiences through an English-language licensing agreement with Viz Media. Fujisaki later produced a supplementary manga installment titled Hoshin Engi Gaiden: Senkai Dōsho, which ran in Weekly Young Jump in 2018.
