Hootie & the Blowfish

Hootie & the Blowfish is an American rock band originating from Columbia, South Carolina. The group formed in the mid-1980s and became known for their blend of rock, alternative rock, and pop influences infused with Americana elements. The core membership—Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, and Jim Sonefeld—remained consistent throughout most of the band's existence. After stepping back from recording and performing in 2008, the group reunited in 2019 and subsequently released new material, marking a significant return to the studio after more than a decade of silence.
