High on Fire

High on Fire is an American heavy metal band from Oakland, California, formed in 1998. Led by guitarist and vocalist Matt Pike, who previously performed with Sleep, the group has established itself as a prominent force in metal music. The band's heavy, riff-driven sound encompasses stoner rock, doom metal, and sludge influences. High on Fire achieved significant recognition in 2019 when they won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. With nine studio albums to their name, including their 2024 release Cometh the Storm, the band continues to be active in the contemporary metal scene.
