Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass were an American musical ensemble that rose to prominence during the 1960s, led by musician Herbert Alpert. Active from 1963 to 1971, the group became influential figures in pop and jazz circles, blending elements of easy listening, lounge, and jazz pop into their distinctive sound. Beyond his work as a bandleader, Alpert co-founded the independent record label A&M Records with Jerry Moss during this same productive decade, establishing himself as a significant force in both performance and music industry development.
