Hep Stars were a Swedish rock band established in Stockholm during 1963. The group achieved significant prominence in the mid-1960s, particularly between 1965 and 1966, when they ranked among Sweden's most commercially successful pop acts performing in English. Though their recognition remained largely confined to Scandinavian audiences internationally, the band gained historical importance as the early platform for keyboardist and composer Benny Andersson, whose subsequent involvement with ABBA would bring him international acclaim. The band remained active until 1969.
