Guys and Dolls was a British musical group active from 1974 to 1985. The ensemble drew its name and conceptual foundation from the classic American musical of the same title, which features compositions by Frank Loesser and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. The original musical itself was adapted from Damon Runyon's short stories, including "The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown" and "Blood Pressure," alongside characters and narrative elements drawn from additional Runyon works. Operating within the British music landscape during the late 1970s and early 1980s, the group maintained a connection to theatrical musical traditions while establishing its own identity in the recording industry.
