Graham Parker & The Rumour

Graham Parker and the Rumour were a British rock group active from 1976 to 1982, formed by musicians with roots in the pub rock scene. The band comprised members previously associated with groups such as Brinsley Schwarz and Ducks Deluxe. Though primarily known as the backing ensemble for vocalist Graham Parker on his early recordings, the Rumour established themselves as a distinct recording act, releasing three studio albums during their career: Max, Frogs, Sprouts, Clogs and Krauts, and Purity of Essence. Their work bridged classic pop and rock traditions of the era.
