Freddy Cole

Lionel Frederick Cole was an American jazz vocalist and pianist whose career in music extended nearly seven decades. Born in 1931, he became known for his interpretations of jazz standards and vocal pop material. Cole was a member of a prominent musical family that included his brother Nat King Cole, as well as brothers Eddie and Ike Cole. Beyond his own performing and recording work, he was the father of Lionel Cole and uncle to vocalist Natalie Cole. His contributions to jazz and vocal music spanned from the early 1930s until his death in 2020.
