Franco De Vita is a Venezuelan singer-songwriter born in 1954, recognized for his contributions to Latin pop and ballad music. He achieved initial success with his solo debut album, which produced multiple Spanish-language hits in Venezuela. Following his 1989 signing with CBS Records, De Vita's 1990 album Extranjero featured a chart-topping track on the U.S. Latin charts and earned an MTV Video Music Award. His 2004 release Stop performed strongly across Latin America and on American Latin charts. A Latin Grammy Award winner, De Vita has accumulated over twenty hit songs on the Billboard charts in the United States throughout his career.
