Folk Implosion is an American musical group established in the early 1990s by Lou Barlow and John Davis. Barlow conceived the project as an outlet to pursue creative directions distinct from his work with his main band, Sebadoh. The group's name references the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. After a period of dormancy spanning 2004 to 2020, the band resumed activity.
