The Fleetwoods
The Fleetwoods were an American vocal trio from Olympia, Washington, active from 1958 to 1983. The group consisted of Gary Troxel, Gretchen Christopher, and Barbara Ellis. They rose to prominence in 1959, achieving two number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Come Softly to Me" and "Mr. Blue". Their polished blend of traditional pop and doo-wop vocals made them notable contributors to late 1950s popular music.
