Fischer-Z are a British rock group centered on the creative vision of singer, guitarist and poet John Watts. Formed in 1979, the band's original lineup included Watts alongside keyboardist Steve Skolnik, bassist David Graham, and drummer Steve Liddle. In 1982, Watts temporarily disbanded the group to pursue a solo career under his own name. Since then, he has balanced both solo releases and Fischer-Z projects, maintaining the group as his primary artistic vehicle while exploring independent work.
