The Fendermen
The Fendermen were an American rockabilly duo consisting of Jim Sundquist and Phil Humphrey. Formed in 1957, the group achieved their greatest recognition during the early 1960s with their rendition of "Mule Skinner Blues," a composition originally written by Jimmie Rodgers, which became a major hit in 1960. The band remained active until 1963, leaving behind a legacy centered on their successful reinterpretation of classic country material through a rockabilly lens.
