Bleach is Nirvana's first studio album, released in mid-June 1989 through Sub Pop records. The band prepared for recording after releasing their debut single in late 1988. Recording sessions occurred at a Seattle studio over a two-month period in the winter and early months of 1989. This remains the only Nirvana album issued on the Sub Pop label.
