Electric Prunes is an American psychedelic rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965. Active until 1970, the group became known for their distinctive sound, which blended psychedelic elements with early electronic rock experimentation. Their music, characterized by fuzz-toned guitars and oscillating effects, possessed an unsettling and emotionally intense quality. While much of their success came from compositions by Annette Tucker and Nancie Mantz, the band also created original material. Guitarist Ken Williams and vocalist James Lowe championed a "free-form garage music" approach that expanded the group's sonic range and lyrical exploration beyond their garage rock peers.
