Edyta Górniak is a Polish pop and soul singer who began her career as a musical theatre performer in 1990, appearing in Metro, a critically acclaimed Polish musical that achieved international recognition on Broadway. She gained prominence as Poland's first Eurovision Song Contest representative in 1994, performing "To nie ja" and finishing as runner-up—a result that remains the country's best achievement at the competition. This success launched a sustained career spanning decades, both domestically and internationally. Her 1997 single "One and One" achieved notable chart success across European radio. Górniak has been recognized for her artistic contributions with the Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis.
