Dødheimsgard is a Norwegian extreme metal band established in 1994. Initially rooted in black metal traditions, the group underwent a significant stylistic shift with their 1999 album 666 International, pivoting toward experimental and industrial approaches. This transformation reflected their growing interest in avant-garde composition and progressive arrangements. In 2000, the band abbreviated their name to DHG. Throughout their career, Dødheimsgard has remained committed to exploring the darker and more philosophical dimensions of metal, consistently challenging genre conventions through their evolving sonic palette.
