Dion & The Belmonts

Dion & The Belmonts were an American doo-wop group from the Bronx, New York, active from 1957 to 1966. The ensemble featured Angelo D'Aleo, Carlo Mastrangelo, and Fred Milano, taking their name from Belmont Avenue in the Bronx's Little Italy neighborhood. From 1957 to 1960, vocalist Dion DiMucci led the group, which achieved significant commercial success during this period, releasing five studio and live albums with numerous Billboard Hot 100 charting songs. Following DiMucci's departure, the group experienced moderate success with Mastrangelo as lead vocalist before reuniting in their original formation in 1966. The band continued recording and performing sporadically through subsequent decades.
