The Dillinger Escape Plan

The Dillinger Escape Plan was an American metalcore band formed in 1997 in Morris Plains, New Jersey by guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Adam Doll, vocalist Dimitri Minakakis, and drummer Chris Pennie. Known for their complex arrangements featuring dissonance, irregular time signatures, and intricate polyrhythmic patterns, the group developed a signature sound rooted in mathematical precision and experimental approaches. While early work emphasized technical complexity, their later releases incorporated greater melodic elements alongside diverse musical influences. The band experienced numerous lineup changes across two decades; by their final dissolution in 2017, Weinman remained the sole founding member, performing alongside Greg Puciato (vocals), Liam Wilson (bass), Billy Rymer (drums), and Kevin Antreassian (rhythm guitar).
