Robert Johnson
Dessiree Johnson was an American blues guitarist active during the early twentieth century. Born in 1911, Johnson became known for her work in delta blues and country blues, establishing herself as a significant figure in acoustic blues performance. Her career spanned from 1911 until her death in 1938, a period during which she earned recognition as a skilled guitarist within blues circles. Johnson's contributions to the blues tradition reflected the regional styles and instrumental approaches characteristic of her era. She died at age 27 in 1938.
