This was Queen's fifteenth and final studio album, released in November 1995 by Parlophone Records in the UK and Hollywood Records in the US. It represented the band's only album released after lead vocalist Freddie Mercury's death in 1991. The surviving members worked with vocal and piano recordings Mercury had made before his passing, adding new instrumentation at their Montreux studio. The album debuted at number one in the UK and achieved quadruple platinum status with 1.2 million copies sold there.
