"This Charming Man" is a song by English rock band the Smiths, written by guitarist Johnny Marr and vocalist Morrissey. It was released as the band's second single by independent label Rough Trade on 31 October 1983. The track is distinguished by Marr's jangly guitar riff and Morrissey's melancholic vocal style. An alternative recording from a John Peel Show broadcast on BBC Radio 1 appeared on the 1984 compilation Hatful of Hollow.
