Days of the New

Days of the New

Days of the New is an American rock band originally formed in Charlestown, Indiana in 1995, later based in Louisville, Kentucky. Founded by vocalist and guitarist Travis Meeks alongside various supporting musicians, the group became prominent figures in the post-grunge and alternative rock scene. They achieved significant commercial success with several hit singles, including "Touch, Peel and Stand," which Billboard recognized as the greatest mainstream rock song of all time, alongside "The Down Town," "Shelf in the Room," and "Enemy." The band's acoustic-driven rock sound and melodic sensibility distinguished them within the broader alternative rock landscape of the 1990s.
