Danesha Starr, professionally known as Dee Dee Simon, is an R&B and soul vocalist. She gained recognition in 1998 with her single "As Long As I Live," released through Interscope Records and featuring Rome. The track achieved moderate commercial success, reaching number 27 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart, and was accompanied by a music video. However, following the single's release, corporate restructuring at her label—resulting from a merger between Interscope, Geffen, and A&M Records—disrupted her career momentum. Subsequently, Starr departed from the music industry.
