The Cuff Links

The Cuff Links were an American pop-rock studio group based in Staten Island, New York, active from 1968 to 1970. The project achieved notable success with their 1969 single "Tracy," which reached number 9 on the US charts and featured Ron Dante performing the distinctive layered vocal harmonies. Dante, who founded the group through prolific studio sessions, departed after their debut album. Subsequent recordings featured vocalists Joey Cord and Rupert Holmes. The Cuff Links exemplified the studio-based pop approach of the late 1960s, where a core production team released music under rotating ensemble names.
