Corbans is a New Zealand winery with roots dating back to 1902, when Lebanese immigrant Assid Abraham Corban founded the company a decade after settling in the country. The winery expanded significantly over the twentieth century, eventually becoming New Zealand's second-largest wine producer. In 2000, Corbans was acquired by Montana Wines, its largest competitor. Following subsequent ownership changes—including periods under Allied Domecq and Pernod Ricard—the Corbans brand was separated as an independent entity in 2011 and is currently owned by Lion.
