The Collins Kids

The Collins Kids were an American rockabilly duo consisting of siblings Lorrie and Larry Collins. Performing as child artists during the 1950s, they achieved commercial success with novelty-oriented recordings including "Hop, Skip and Jump," "Beetle Bug Bop," and "Hoy Hoy." Though initially marketed toward young audiences, their energetic vocals and instrumental prowess resonated across age groups. Larry Collins distinguished himself as a prodigious guitarist, mastering the double-neck Mosrite guitar at just ten years old, following the example of his influence, Joe Maphis.
