The Chuck Wagon Gang is an American country gospel ensemble founded in 1935 by David P. Carter and his children Ernest, Lola, and Effie. The family group achieved their initial radio exposure in 1936 through a sponsorship arrangement with Bewley Flour. Signing with Columbia Records, they became one of the label's most successful acts, maintaining an unprecedented 39-year recording relationship that stood as a world record until 2000. At their commercial peak, the Chuck Wagon Gang ranked as Columbia's leading group, accumulating over 39 million record sales throughout their career.
