Chrono Cross is a 1999 role-playing video game released by Square for PlayStation. Set within the universe of the earlier Chrono Trigger, the game was helmed by director and writer Masato Kato, drawing upon creative talent from the original title. The visual direction came from Yasuyuki Honne, while composer Yasunori Mitsuda provided the soundtrack. Character designs were created by Nobuteru Yūki. The project brought together an experienced team of developers to expand the world established by Chrono Trigger four years prior.
