John Lennon wrote this song in Bermuda during June 1980, inspired by instances when he attempted to reach his wife Yoko Ono while she was in New York. The track appeared on his 1980 album Double Fantasy and was subsequently included in multiple compilations and boxsets released between 1982 and 2010. It was also featured in a 2005 musical production about Lennon.
