Chas and Dave were an English pop rock duo formed in London by Chas Hodges and Dave Peacock. Emerging in 1974, the pair combined elements of folk, rock and roll, and pop rock to develop a distinctive sound rooted in English musical traditions. Their career spanned over four decades, during which they became known for blending traditional folk sensibilities with contemporary rock arrangements. The duo remained active until their separation in 2018, leaving a notable legacy in British popular music.
