The Chantoozies

Chantoozies are an Australian pop group that emerged in 1986. The ensemble consisted of eight members: four female vocalists—Eve von Bibra, Angie La Bozzetta, Ally Fowler, and Tottie Goldsmith—alongside four male instrumentalists including Brett Goldsmith, Scott Griffiths, Frank McCoy, and David Reyne. The band's name playfully derived from a deliberate mispronunciation of the French term "chanteuse," referring to a female singer. This distinctive lineup configuration set them apart within the Australian pop music landscape of the era.
