Cardcaptor Sakura is the protagonist of a Japanese manga series created by the artist collective Clamp. Serialized in Nakayoshi magazine from 1996 to 2000 and collected into 12 volumes, the story follows Sakura Kinomoto, an elementary school student who discovers magical abilities and must retrieve enchanted cards she has accidentally released into the world. Each card possesses distinct magical properties and requires an inherently gifted person to activate. The character later appeared in a sequel, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, which ran from 2016 to 2024 and depicted Sakura as a junior high school student.
