100 Proof (Aged in Soul)

100 Proof Aged In Soul was an American funk and soul ensemble formed in Detroit, Michigan in 1969. The group was assembled by the prominent songwriting and production duo Holland-Dozier-Holland, who signed them to their newly established Hot Wax Records label. Between 1969 and 1972, the band achieved commercial success with multiple hit singles. Their most successful track, "Somebody's Been Sleeping," climbed to number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, achieved sales exceeding one million copies, and earned gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. The group remained active until 1973.
